Sweet Breads

This is a really pretty stand that my mom bought me that I stacked all my goodies on.
These were yummy but needed some salt.

Pan Au Chocolat... YUM!!!

Chocolate Babka. This was fun to make but hard to bake. It was worth it though because it was delicious.

Snails and Figure 8's. These were a pain to make. I think it's official that I hate DANISHES!

Turnovers. Some were filled with cherry jelly, others were filled with kiwi jelly and I think one was filled with raspberry jelly.

Pin Wheels.... again, I hate danishes.

Diamonds............. no comment.

Creme Brulee and a Pirouette. I totally got to torch a few of these.... Scary I know but really fun!

Epi Baguette - This one was fun to make.

Traditional Baguette - Reminded me of Panera.

Pugliese - We couldn't figure out how to pronounce it so don't ask. LOL!

KITCHEN!!

This picture is from the back of the kitchen! See the red box on the far left of the picture? That's where I stand!!! YAY!!

These are 2 of our ovens. The one on the left is our deck oven and the one on the right is our rotating rack oven.

Just our regular oven!

This from the front of the classroom! I stand where the open box is... next to the girl whose face is blocked by the power strip! LOL....

This is the next row of tables.

These are all of our bowls, utensils, pans, rolling pins, etc.

That's our dry ingredients shelf and that door on the right is to the walk in fridge!

This is Chef A.K.A Chef Tone A.K.A. Chef Tony! He's pretty freaking cool!

PIZZA DAY!

Marbeled Rye Bread... It wasn't my favorite but it sure did turn out pretty!

Breadsticks... They were made from pizza dough and they tasted great! The middle ones are typical breadsticks and the others were just fun breadsticks.

Pizza!!! I has cheese, pepperoni, red peppers, green peppers and olives on it... It was yummy!

Two smaller pizzas I made! They were also very good!

AMAZING BREAD!

Multi-Grain Bread! It was yummy! It was very sweet!

Cajun 3 Pepper Bread! This was.... interesting. It was tasty but it wasn't for me.

THIS BREAD WAS THE MOST AMAZING BREAD I'VE EVER HAD!!! It was Oreganato. We made pepper jack cheese and melted that on top of the bread! It was delicious!

Blue Band-Aid Award! I was the first to get hurt in class so therefore, I was awarded the Blue Band-Aid Award... It was awesome and embarrassing all in one.

This is Pain Au Lait... It's pretty. It tasted amazing! Chef didn't take it out of the oven in time. It was a little overdone but pretty none-the-less.

This is White Pan Bread. Nothing too special about it besides the fact that it tasted GREAT! This was a quad braid. I did not braid this... There is a girl in my class who is a hair dresser and she taught me how to braid with four strands. What a sweetheart!

More White Pan Bread! These rolls were made in a small cake pan. They were meant to grow together like that... It's called pull apart bread! Cool, huh?

I had some White Pan Bread dough left over so I made a small braided loaf! Isn't it cute?

NAN!!! This bread was AMAZING! It's an Indian bread. We brushed the finished bread with garlic bread! It was incredible... not to brag! LOL!

BURN!!

I BURNED MYSELF!!! No good! It was my own dumb fault but it really hurt! I don't know how great this picture is of the burn but I totally got burned. I have three burns: one in the middle of my hand, one at the bottom of my pointer finger and one at the bottom of my middle finger.

Day Four

These were some tortillas that we made. We rolled them out a little too thin (we were following Chef's instructions) and they came out a little crispy but DANG... they were good!!!

These were bagels that were 2 days in the making. My bagels did not taste all that fantastic but I got to learn something new and had a good time making them. Chef said that they were a little too flat and that the combination of flavors I added to the dough was not all that appetizing... I COMPLETELY agree!!! Again, I got to learn something new, so I'm not stressin'....
